NT 10R ROTATION ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE, Two Great Commandments

The Beatles were right: "All you need is love..." Hmmm...were Jesus' words the inspiration for this tune? Jesus explained in Matthew 22:34-40 that ALL the commandments can be summed up by the word LOVE. In this rotational unit, children will learn the Two Great Commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself." Children will lean that these commandments guide the actions of our lives.

Our faith and most worship services are built around the Two Great Commandments. Throughout the workshops in this unit, children will learn and understand about the basic elements of worship: The Lord's Prayer, Doxology, Confession, Mission, Offering / Serving, Prayers for others, and Thanksgiving.

The Dance, Prayer, and Worship Workshops will focus on the first Great Commandment. Children will learn ways of loving and worshipping God.

The Art, Computer and Mission Workshops will focus on the second Great Commandment. Children further learn the meaning of loving their neighbor as themselves and serving others. (Note: There is an adaptation for churches that cannot do a Computer Workshop.)
