Jesus sends us the Holy Spirit so we can SOAR in God?s way. As children fold and soar ?Holy Spirit Paper Airplanes,? they learn that the Holy Spirit will teach them what is true and guide them in living in God?s way. Both the Cooking and Art Workshops have children working with ?outcast? materials and ingredients as they hear the stories of three outcasts in the Bible ? the leper, Zacchaeus, and the Samaritan woman at the well. Cooking Outcast Slumgullion ? blackbirds were used in the old England recipe ? and creating a collage with a strange mix of materials, children learn that Jesus renews us, saves us, and brings all into his perfect design. Through a Living Water Card Game children learn that the Holy Spirit fills them and spills out of them so they can reach out to others and bring them into God?s design. In the Dance Workshop children learn through the Zacchaeus story that they can live differently when they receive the Holy Spirit that Jesus sends them. They dance the Virginia Reel to a country western Zacchaeus song. What a hoot!
